Never Forgetting

But God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the livestock that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind blow over the earth, and the waters subsided.
Genesis 8:1, ESV
God remembered Noah in the ark, and made the waters subside so that him and his family would be delivered. The thing is, God's remembering is not remembering having forgotten, but a keeping in mind. He knows you intimately and you are valuable to Him because He made you, you carry His image, and if you are a Christian because you carry His name!

Supremely, Jesus remembered you in his life, death and resurrection. His life was lived intentionally for our benefit - yours and mine. He endured the shame and agony of the cross because He remembered you - how in your sin you were helpless to save yourself and stuck in an empty life - and He endured so that you and I can now have life, and life in all its fullness - with love, blessing, purpose and a continual knowing Him.

Indeed, according to Romans 8:34, even now Jesus remembers you in His prayers to our Father, praying for help where you need it, for your steps to be guided and for you to experience our Fathers love continually.

So wherever you are now, whatever your situation, remember - Jesus remembers you.
